Frequently Asked Questions about the Filter
About the Web Filter...
QDA is required by State law to install the web filter on all of our computer systems. QDA will not unblock social media websites or other sites that may be deemed inappropriate. QDA may also block websites that may cause system issues (viruses, adware, malware, etc.). To ensure compliance, all web activity is logged and may be reviewed. Please refer the Acceptable Use Guidelines for additional information.
Why is this educational site blocked??
Unfortunately, the QDA content filtering system may block educational sites. The system analyzes the content on the page and determines if the page should be blocked or not. Educational sites may be blocked because the content filter "sees" features that allow users to play games, leave comments, etc. In the event that an educational site is blocked, please complete the contact administrator form and we will review the site as soon as possible.
